MAW Telecom Intl SA is a representative of the Norwegian company KONGSBERG Defense & Aerospace AS for communications systems, including broadband encrypted TacLAN tactical communications system. The system is designed to secure the transmission of information and data at all command levels – from the section to the corps level.
The TacLAN communications system, based on the IP communication protocol, is part of the Battle Management System (BMS) and offers the following capabilities:
- autonomous wireless communication on an as required basis at various commend levels, including wired LAN connections;
- voice messaging, packet transfer of data and video files between command points;
- meets the requirements of C2 and C4ISR systems, per NATO requirements (STANAG 4206);
- continuous distribution of data and target visualization in combat situations;
- modular design and modest dimensions to ensure quick adaptation with combat vehicles and mutual part exchangeability;
- compatibility with other digital communication systems, including those used by coalition forces.
