Chief Executive Officer and founder of MAW Telecom S.C. (Partnership Company). He has remained at the helm of the company ever since. Following business expansion and subsequent establishment of MAW Telecom Group in 2000, he has been the Chief Executive Officer of MAW Telecom International S.A. and the Chairman of the Executive Boards of the following companies: MAW Telecom SRP Sp. z o.o. and MAW Telecom TPS Sp. z o.o. Marek graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Electronics. In addition, he holds a postgraduate diploma in journalism from the University of Warsaw and a postgraduate diploma in national security from the National Defense University. Between 1984-1991 Marek worked as a journalist with the Polish Agency Interpress, liaising directly with well-known foreign TV stations (including CNN, ABC, Channel 4) and leading Polish newsmagazines (e.g. the Polityka weekly). A co-founder of the National Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications (KIGEiT), where he has held various posts and, since 2006, served as the Vice Chairman of the Board. Since 2002 Marek has been a member of the Primary Council of the Polish Chamber of National Defense Manufacturers. Between 2003-2004 and 2006-2008 he sat on the board of DIGITALEUROPE (formerly EICTA - European Information, Communications and Consumer Electronics Technology Industry Association). In the years 2000-2004, he coordinated European programs on behalf of KIGEiT and was a member of the Steering Committee of the Local Government ICT assistance Program in EU candidate states. Between 2001-2005 Marek was a member of the Social Committee of Communications Experts supporting the Minister of Infrastructure. In the years 2005-2008 he was a member of the Industrial and Scientific Team working with the Ministry of National Defense Armament Council. In 2010 he became a member of the Council of the Foundation for the Development of Radiocommunication and Multimedia Technologies. An honorary Soldier of the GROM Special Forces Military Unit and holder of a special award from the Polish Association of Military Engineers. His hobbies include tennis, modern architecture, art and literature.
