TACAN 2010 is an airport radio navigation aid. The data received from TACAN provides aircraft positioning information to the crew. Based on the distance and bearing, the pilot can guide the aircraft precisely flight along a designated route. The offered system complies with VOR and DVOR systems in accordance with the MIL-STD 291B and ICOA Annex 10. It's very reliable thanks to its redundant design of main components and fully digital circuits.

A typical beacon has an output power of up to 10 kilowatts, with an effective range of 300 NM. It operates in a pulse mode in the frequency band of 962 – 1213 MHz with 1 MHz channel spacing (256 channels). The receiver band is 1025 – 1150 MHz. The effective range depends on the flight altitude and radio emission conditions as the frequency band is located between the UHF and microwave bands. A typical European average is 250 km.

TACAN 2010could be offered either as a fixed airfield system or as a mobile version. The mobile version stored on a trailer can be transported with the C-130 aircraft to any location in the world and deployed for active duty.
