The 7th “Freedom and Safety” Conference was held in Szczecin on 10-11 June 2010, organised by the Computerworld IT magazine. The so-called “safety package” was sponsored by MAW Telecom.

On 31 May 2010 MAW Telecom finalised a contract with the 1st Materials and Technical Base to provide the servicing of TACAN 2010 systems. The contract covers 4 systems whose manufacturer’s warranty periods have already expired.

MAW Telecom was awarded the bid for the delivery, assembly and commissioning of a broadband wireless data transmission and Internet access network for the City of Nowy Sącz.


2010-05-31

MAW Telecom delivered a TACAN 2010 mobile navigation system to the 12th Air Base in Mirosławiec. Under the agreement concluded in mid 2009 between the Ministry of Defence and MAW Telecom, this is the second mobile TACAN supplied to the Polish Air Force. The first of the systems was delivered in October 2009 to the 22nd Air Base in Malbork.

The 4th National Conference on the “Polish Power System – its Realities, Problems and Dilemmas” was held on 27 May by the Chamber of Energy and Environment at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel. MAW Telecom contributed to the organization of the conference.

Under a UN Resolution, 17 May was proclaimed the World Information Society Day. As such, since 2007 the Polish Information Technology Society has been celebrating the WISD each year. This year’s celebration was organized under the motto: “Information Technologies Raising the Life Standard” .

Warsaw hosted the 6th International Conference and Exhibition dedicated to the Advanced Technologies for Homeland Defence and Border Protection. The event was held under the honorary auspices of the Minister of Defence, the Foreign Minister and the Head of the Homeland Security Office.
