On 31 May 2010 MAW Telecom finalised a contract with the 1st Materials and Technical Base to provide the servicing of TACAN 2010 systems. The contract covers 4 systems whose manufacturer’s warranty periods have already expired.
MAW Telecom was awarded the bid for the delivery, assembly and commissioning of a broadband wireless data transmission and Internet access network for the City of Nowy Sącz.
MAW Telecom delivered a TACAN 2010 mobile navigation system to the 12th Air Base in Mirosławiec. Under the agreement concluded in mid 2009 between the Ministry of Defence and MAW Telecom, this is the second mobile TACAN supplied to the Polish Air Force. The first of the systems was delivered in October 2009 to the 22nd Air Base in Malbork.
On March 19, 2010 an annex to the VCS Network Version Upgrade Agreement was signed. The Annex provides that MAW Telecom shall deliver and commission the fourth system control in a mobile vehicle version (MVCS).
The International Conference and AIRPORT 2010 Exhibition took place at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw on February 16, 2010. The Conference was organized by the magazines ”RAPORT-wojsko, technika, obronność” and ”Skrzydlata Polska”, and Zarząd Targów Warszawskich S.A.
The fifteenth Pilots and Polish Defense Ball took place at the Jan III Sobieski Hotel in Warsaw. The event was organized by the Altair Air Agency with the support of the National Aviation Board, Air Force Command, Polish Aviation Club and the Bogusia Nykiel Ostrowska Open Heart Foundation. The Ball was attended by 480 guests. MAW Telecom was hosted not only as a guest but also as a sponsor of the event.
On January 15, 2010, the Warsaw University of Technology hosted a formal meeting of the Board of the Foundation for the Support of the Radio Communication and Multimedia Technology Development. During the meeting Marek Wośko, President of MAW Telecom Intl. S.A., was appointed member of the Foundation Board.
The “Benemerenti” diplomas and “Milito pro Christo” medals were awarded at the Cathedral Church of the Polish Army on January 9, 2010. MAW Telecom Intl. S.A. was among the sponsors of this event.
The first of the government TU-154 planes returned to Poland from the maintenance facility in late December and has already begun regular flights.
In less than two months following the conclusion of an agreement with the Ministry of National Defense, MAW Telecom delivered the first of the two ordered TACAN 2010 mobile navigation systems to the 22nd Air Force Base at Malbork.
